A photo is worth a thousand bed time stories.

Growing up in a rural area without neighbors and without any siblings or cousins my age, I learned to entertain myself with things around the house when boredom struck. This meant watching and rewatching home videos and spending hours looking through an old trunk of photos and memories from my parent's lives before me. The sacred contents of that trunk sparked my love for the proper documentation of life's moments. At night, I would ask my parents about the photos that caught my eye that day and they would tell me the history behind them. I was raised on those epic love stories and the travels of my grandparents. Below, you will find my favorite photos from that trunk. Take notice of the rich, beautiful colors caught on film and how they compare to my own work today.
